APPOINTMENTS

Patients are seen on an appointment basis so that we may reserve time for you. Appointments for regular physicals or for problems of long duration should be scheduled well in advance. All vaccines and re-checks also need to be scheduled. Please notify the receptionist of any change in address, telephone numbers, or insurance. Parents should also provide us with a work telephone number.  We are now using Electronic Health Records, (EHR), that may require you to answer questions that were not required in the past. We appreciate your co-operation as we transition.

If you are unable to keep an appointment please notify the office as soon as possible. A fee may be charged for appointments missed or not canceled less than 24 hours before scheduled appointment time.

Visits for consultations are scheduled by appointment only.  (Please specify that you want a consultation appointment when calling.)

Time is available each day for sick appointments. There is a doctor, a provider, or nurse,  available on nights and weekends, for attention to acute illness.

Sick children may be seen on the same day by either the Physician, Physician assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.

It is difficult to anticipate the patient load on a given day, and at times our scheduling becomes difficult.  We ask for your patience on these days.

Appointments may be made with a specific Dr., PA, or NP, however, we do encourage your child to experience all of our health care professionals. It is beneficial for your child/children to become

familiar and comfortable with all medical personnel.

EXAMINATIONS

Routine physical examinations should be scheduled 3 months in advance, especially during the summer months when there is a greater demand for school and camp examinations. If a child plays sports or attends camp, a physical is required every year. Please allow 2 days for the completion of school and camp forms based on previous examinations (within 12 months). Please fill in all the requested information in the parents section before sending the forms to us with a stamped, self-addressed, envelope. For their safety and the privacy of other patients, siblings of patients being seen, should not be left unattended during examination, and in the waiting room.

WE HAVE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON OUR PATIENT PORTAL SO PLEASE SIGN UP!

Our Patient Portal allows you to access yours or your child's medical records.

Within our eClinical System patients are enabled, via their email address and password through our URL below. Just register and you're set to go!

Our office is equipped with an automated attendant telephone system to more efficiently direct your call.

In order to reduce interruptions to patients being examined and to maintain office efficiency you may leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

If your call requires the doctor speak with you, please leave a message and the doctor will return your call at the earliest opportunity.

Try to anticipate problems early in the day so the office can promptly address your needs and your child can be seen if necessary.

Please make a consultation appointment for discussions of complicated and long-term problems, (behavioral, school, etc.) The telephone should be used for brief discussion only.
