WHEN CALLING THE OFFICE TO REQUEST A CALL BACK, PLEASE BE SURE WE CAN HEAR YOUR PHONE NUMBER CLEARLY. OFTEN WHEN A CHILD IS CRYING IN THE BACKGROUND IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO HEAR THE NUMBER.
IF YOU ARE CALLING FROM A CELL PHONE AND IT CUTS OUT WE DON'T ALWAYS GET THE WHOLE PHONE NUMBER, PLEASE TRY TO CALL WHEN YOUR IN AN AREA WITH GOOD RECEPTION.
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A CALL BACK WITHIN AN HOUR PLEASE CALL US BACK.
Our office is equipped with an automated attendant telephone system to more efficiently direct your call.
In order to reduce interruptions to patients being examined and to maintain office efficiency you may leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
If your call requires the doctor speak with you, please leave a message and the doctor will return your call at the earliest opportunity.
Try to anticipate problems early in the day so the office can promptly address your needs and your child can be seen if necessary.
Please make a consultation appointment for discussions of complicated and long-term problems, (behavioral, school, etc.) The telephone should be used for brief discussion only.
TESTS
X-rays are not done in the office. X-rays, when necessary, are scheduled at one of the hospitals or other facilities.
Blood, urine samples, and cultures may be obtained in the office or at the hospital laboratory for examination when necessary.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Patients who are enrolled on our Patient Portal may request prescription refills on line. Please inquire as to how to enroll or register via our URL

If you are not registered for our Patient Portal, routine prescriptions and refills are issued during regular office hours only (please give two business days’ notice). When calling for a refill please leave child’s name, the name of the pharmacy, name of the medication, dosage, or weight of the child, and date of birth. Prescriptions are sent electronically.
IF A PROVIDER TELLS YOU THEY ARE CALLING IN A SCRIPT PLEASE CALL THAT DAY OR THE NEXT DAY IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, PLEASE DO NOT WAIT A FEW DAYS OR A WEEK.
PAYMENT PLAN AND INSURANCE
When applicable, all payments must be made at the time of service.
All co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance are due at the time of service as explained to you by your insurance carrier.
Insurance: Understanding your insurance is the responsibility of your chosen insurance company and yourself. The parent remains responsible for any portion not covered by the plan, if applicable. Be certain that your insurance is effective by the time you arrive for an appointment. Please make definite financial arrangements for your portion of the fee, if applicable. Insurance cards should be presented at each visit when checking in with the receptionist.
